Do you know of any club members who have enjoyed attending tournaments but feel they no longer shoot to their own expected high standards or face physical problems?
There is an alternative to shooting at tournaments.
Become a CANDIDATE JUDGE.
The Candidate will still attend the competitions without the pressures of shooting.
The Candidate will still meet their fellow archers and enjoy the day.
When club members are bemoaning their fate at the end of the day the judge will be relaxed.
A sense of humour is a help but not compulsory.
A basic knowledge of the rules of shooting will also help!
You can become a Candidate judge and ask to attend tournaments but if you decide it is not your cup of tea you are not bound to continue. A mentor/tutor will be appointed to assist you.
